On Tuesday, July 3, the US House of Representatives voted by an overwhelming 398 to 17 margin to pass a resolution condemning the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel’s violations of Palestinian human rights.
I have been a long-time supporter of BDS. In 2014, I wrote that I support the efforts to Boycott, Divest, and Sanction against Israel in response to its attack on Gaza.

Stop NY Fracked Gas Pipeline

Stop NY Fracked Gas Pipeline (SNYFGP) and Community Advocates for a Sustainable Environment (CASE) had a wonderful night on June 12. The momentum to thwart using twentieth century technology for our twenty first century energy needs is now moving in high gear.

Here is the big news: 

The Bethlehem Town Council passed a strong resolution in opposition to the E37 Pipeline proposal on a 4-1 vote with Jim Foster in opposition to the resolution. It was written by Dan Coffey, a Bethlehem Town Council member.

Presumably, the NYS Public Service Commission will take notice and hopefully the Town of North Greenbush can join us in opposition.

Canvassing by SNYFGP/CASE in (EG) along proposed pipeline route. Meet at  EG Town Hall on 225 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer/East Greenbush line. Your help is really needed to create public awareness of pipeline proposal.

Wednesday, June 12: 7:00-8:30 pm
Public Forum about the "E-37" or "Albany Loop" Pipeline

Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 23

The Hudson Valley Green Party is holding it's Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm at the Beahive, 291 Main St., in Beacon.  Please join us.  We'd like to hear your concerns.  

The Green Party candidate for the Mayor of Beacon Terry Hockler will be there and Cricket Valley Power Plant resistor Donna Coane will speak about the Cricket Valley Power Plant.  We will also vote on the revised By-Laws which are attached.
