Subject: Attendees Needed at Fishkill Town Board Meeting - Oct. 21, 2020 at 7PM to Oppose Danskammer

Dear Allies,

We are reaching out to those who might be Fishkill residents and also other like-minded people to attend the Fishkill Town Board Meeting this coming Wed., Oct. 21  (yes, it is an in person meeting) at the Fishkill Town Hall at 7PM. Masks required.

Here is the Facebook event link:

Danskammer representatives will present their recommendation for the plant and Hayley Carlock, Esq. of Scenic Hudson will oppose Danskammer in her presentation.  She needs our support by your presence there.

We need people to come out and speak in the public comment section called Privilege of the Floor at the beginning of the meeting and show support of a Resolution to be issued by the Town Board of Fishkill OPPOSING the Danskammer proposed project. Those who are not residents of the town are also encouraged to come, have a sign, and perhaps speak too, in order to show the board the large support for opposition.

PLEASE consider doing this. We NEED your help and participation.

If you can’t attend, please write (sample letter below) or send emails to the Fishkill Town Board quickly and easily via the Food and Water Watch website.  Takes 2 minutes! Food & Water Watch: Say No to Danskammer

Here is a video with facts/background about Danskammer:

Here is an example letter, but please personalize your communication to the Fishkill Town Board in your own words, even if it is two sentences. Send it via email to Town Supervisor Ozzy Albra:     https://www.fishkill-ny.gov/elected-officials.html

Thank you for any action you can take to help further a Resolution against the Danskammer project issued by the Town of Fishkill. It is a matter of health and your future as a resident of the Hudson Valley.

Sincerely,

Mothers Out Front Dutchess County
